Only a few weeks ago the sound of a powerful peace mantra filled the Pelgrimvaderskerk during the performance of Sacred Songs Rotterdam. The choir and singers of this 15th edition of Sacred Songs presented repertoire about Freedom and Peace. Under the artistic direction of Monica Akihary the various spiritual traditions and cultures came together in one beautiful musical event.

Khorshid Dadbeh, Gerard van der Zijden & Cantorij Delfshaven, Madhu Singh, Wendy Teixeira, Emine Tokail & Mevlüt Akgüngör and Cici Isenia & Choir touched the audience’s hearts with their enchanting music and songs, their strong authenticity, and their amazing performances. In the final chord, all vocalists, instrumentalists plus the audience joined Madhu Singh while performing the age-old mantra for peace ‘Sarveshaam’. A magical experience and wonderful feeling of togetherness and connection!
